At any time throughout a Consignment's life TradaBase can tell you what the current profitability is at both individual Lot level and for the overall Consignment. The system uses the most accurate information available, so if actual paid costs and/or invoiced sales are available that's great, but otherwise estimated costs are used. The system an even recalculate a revised final full cost when part payments are processed.
TradaBase constantly predicts your final Profitability (at Lot level) as soon as trading of that Lot begins, allowing you to better focus on your target market and, if the marketplace is volatile, communicate with your Suppliers regarding likely outcomes. And if you're overseeing other Traders' activities wouldn't it be great to see ahead of time potential problems so that pre-emptive action can be taken?
Buying Dollars? Paying for airfreight in Euros? Storage in Sterling? No matter. TradaBase will convert all currencies mentioned anywhere on the system into your home currency so you can always see profitability without having to resort to a calculator.
TradaBase support the importation and control of products such as alcohol which need to pass through Bonded Warehouses. Automatic generation of duties payable is included so that you have visibility of all your landed costs before you start selling.
Sending stock directly from a Supplier to a Customer? TradaBase does not need you to enter the sale and purchase separately, it automatically mirrors the deal via what's known as a Back to Back order.
Buy at a fixed price, or put in the Supplier's Advised price and agree what you'll pay later. TradaBase provides detailed support for Returned Prices, where you report what you've sold bit by bit, or for an Account Sale.
TradaBase can automatically generate associated Charges at time of receiving Consignment stock for example, on top of which you can enter an unlimited range of expected Charges (Defra, RHD and so on) on each Consignment. Charges can be apportioned across every Lot on a Consignment or to a single Lot where necessary.
TradaBase also supports the concept of Memo Charges, where you will never actually receive or pay an invoice but want to see a cost reflected in the Consignment/Lot profitability. For example, you might want to 'charge' a cost to every Consignment to recover office overhead expenses.
Whether it's your stock or not there may be occasions when you need to invoice someone for something in relation to a Consignment, so TradaBase allows you to enter Services. For example, you might need to invoice the original Haulier if they damaged some of a Consignment's stock during transit.
For every Lot on every Consignment TradaBase keeps detailed audits of what's happened; where the stock has gone, if any has been dumped or lost, is it in transit (between your warehouses). The system also stores every financial transaction that affects every Lot, be it from a sale, paying the purchase invoice, charges arising (even those that are incurred 'downstream' such as processing, delivery to customer and so on). And Consignments stay open until all the necessary criteria are met to ensure there's no loss of control.
TradaBase contains a wealth of reports, screens and exports (to spreadsheet format) that allow you to analyse performance by Trader, Supplier, Product, Date or any combination thereof.
